Silvana's Story

My name is Silvana and I live in a tiny village in the Swiss mountains, surrounded by pure nature. I teach yoga here in the community and have started hosting yoga- and nature-retreats. Additionally to being a yoga teacher, I’m a writer, story-teller, singer-songwriter and nature’s student. In all my strings of work I seek connection and depth pursuing the big questions in life. This element can also be felt in my yoga classes, where everyBODY is invited. I teach gentle flow classes that focus on feeling good in your body and I always bring a modern and relatable spiritual component to the creation of my sequences.
You can find more of my work on my personal blog, that I also maintain in English: www.crappaeplema.com

After spending 7 years with a dedicated yoga practice, I’d dreamed about taking a yoga teacher training, but as a mother of three, couldn’t make the time.  In 2020, I was grateful to find Yoga & Ayurveda Center’s Online Yoga School—as a silver lining during the COVID pandemic, I could study yoga teaching online, in my own timeframe.  I happily finished the 200-Hour Teacher Training, and then went on to complete the 300-Hour, Prenatal Yoga, Yin, Chair, Restorative, Ayurveda, and 200-Hour Meditation Teacher Trainings, all through OYS.  In the meantime, I opened my own online studio: Mama Yoga Studio.  My studio space is intended to support women, especially mothers, who care so deeply and work so hard to nurture and sustain others.  I offer memberships and drop-in plans with private 1-on-1 sessions, each practice personalized for the student.  Mama Yoga Studio provides an atmosphere of connection, nourishment, and growth through the shared practice of yoga.
