Yoga Poses in this Sequence for the Root Chakra:
The root chakra is all about grounding, stabilizing, strengthening and feeling safe. The root chakra starts in the base of the spine and also includes all of our lower body parts, such as hte legs and feet. In this yoga sequence, we've included the following poses to help you ground and center, aligning your root (muladhara) chakra:

Yoga Poses in this Sequence for the Sacral Chakra:
The sacral chakra is our center of creativity. It is where we house our emotions, our sexuality and our artsy ways. Our pleasure center is associated with the color orange. The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) is located below the naval in the region of the pelvis. It is our second chakra.

The solar plexus chakra is our third chakra. It is our center of self worth, self-esteem and confidence. It houses your identity and overall sense of self. The Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) is associated with the color yellow and the fire element. It is located a couple of inches in from the naval.

The heart chakra is our fourth chakra. it is right in the middle of the three lower and three upper chakras. The heart chakra (anahata) is associated with the color green. It is our center of love, love for ourselves and love for others. It is located right in the center of the chest.

The throat chakra is our fifth chakra. It is associated with the color blue and is located in the throat. The throat charka is our center of communication. When it is in balance, we are able to listen effectively and to speak our truth. The throat chakra (Vishuddha) is translated in Sanskrit to mean "especially pure."

The third eye chakra, often known as just "the third eye," is our wisdom center. It is the sixth chakra and is located at the brow point. It is associated with the color indigo. When we think of the third eye chakra (Ajna), we think of our sixth sense. It houses our intuition and inner wisdom.

The crown chakra (Sahasrara) is the 7th chakra and the highest chakra. This is the energy center that controls our universal consciousness and connection to Spirit. It is associated with spirtuality and enlightenment. The color violet is most commonly connected to the Crown Chakra, although we sometimes see white depicted for the Crown Chakra.
